I was absent because of work. It’s the season and I am grateful I get the chance to earn some money. The amount I stuffed in my pocket and brought home isn’t enough to cover the bills, but hey, it can cut them in half. It is hard work, but the pay is somewhat OK. Life in a village can’t be perfect, luckily I had a good company while I was there, so the hardships were bearable. Right now, everything hurts, my shoulders, forearms, chest. A good night sleep will grant me relaxations and newfound energy to get the new projects started. Or so I hope it will. There is a big pile of tree trunks waiting for me to saw them in stomps and ax them into fine firewood. That also needs to be properly stored. Its something that can get you to sweat so much, you feel like you came out the shower, but the feeling you get after you are done can’t be bought.
Lately, I’ve been posting a lot of short stories in Serbian and it is a good sign when people respond with kind comments. At least I know there are some people who like my way of storytelling. This is a positive omen because I count these people will read my novel when that baby opens its eyes and starts to cry inconsolably.
And I got an idea for the next story for my Patreon. For this month, I am going back to military fiction. When speaking about Patreon and stories, “Georgians” is coming in a few days. Just be patient. I think you will be positively surprised when you read it.
I have hopes, as I always did. I need to be patient for a bit longer. The reward feels so much better if you wait, I heard. We’ll see if it’s true or not.
