Change of plans. I lined up the parts of the novella ‘Six Domes of Draksia’ into a document, reviewed it, edited it – did whole thing. After that, I asked my editors for a quick scan of the plot and the writing, but they gave me a different idea. Apparently, they are willing to dedicate some time on editing it, but they will not advice me with putting it on the blog as I planned. What they would like to do is to sort it out and wait for a some contest the big publishers do and try getting them into publishing it the traditional way.
This idea means that I will probably have my novella done professionally and maybe get paid for it. That sounds great, doesn’t it? However, that means I will have to pull the novella down from the blog and store it for whenever I get the opportunity to go old school.
When that will happen is still hanging in the air and I don’t have a deadline to race with. We will work on this gradually and make sure its done right. For now, they are eager to work on my novel ‘Dronstad’ and get busy with other projects, but novella is definitely in the plan. Because they are of such help, I offered them a part of royalties if we get there. That way I can support the Association with their actions. Basically it is good for both of us.
For now, I will be working on the third part of ‘Dronstad’ and see how much can I help them with other stuff. I should’ve left this for blabber, but I thought this will be read more if I posted it during the day.
I’ll leave the novella on the blog for one more day if you are interested in reading it. I can’t say for sure, but novella is around 24 000 words which can change and maybe, but just maybe get a few more paragraphs in and alter into a proper novel with 40 000 words. Have in mind that I write fast and even the words needed to be doubled, I find it little challenging.
Here are the parts so you don’t need to chase it in my blog. Happy reading. And forgive me if I am not that adamant to blogging in the next period. A lot of things to be done.
Maybe it is too much to ask, but I’d be immensely grateful if you would to let me know what do you think. I know, it is a lot to be read in one day, but still, tell me what you think of it.
